Moving on…

Thanks for stopping by! I have moved my photography blog to a new location. Please check me out at chelseasattic.blogspot.com, where I have my photgraphic work as well as a hodge podge of all the creative outlets in my life.

See you soon!

Thursday’s sneakers

Just had to post a couple of these Bea-U-tiful ladies. Had so much fun today, the girls were super cooperative and Mom was gorgeous, as usual. I couldn’t help but work on a few this afternoon. :-)

So, yeah. Look at this next little one’s eyes. GORGEOUS. With a capitol GORGEOUS.

Catching Up

I can’t say that I am “drowning” in work right now, but I haven’t been very diligent in blogging what I DO have! This precious little girl is the thirdborn (two older brothers) of one of my favorite people in the world. I did her older brother’s newborn shots at their home one cold December a few years ago, and we did everything indoors. It was one of my favorite shoots and I still cherish a lot of those photos, I considered it one of my “breakthrough” moments in newborn photography, anyway.
Well the sun is shining and this little girl brought it with her to her family’s life, so it was only fitting that we did it in the outdoors. Meaning my backyard. Again, these are some of my new favorite images! Something about her Momma always brings me to a new creative level, so it’s only fitting that her children help me along my photo journey as well. :-) Here’s to little precious Baby A, from her “Aunt” Chelsea.

S Family

Okay, okay. Just look at this little tyke. If you’re not smiling at his grin, then you aren’t human.

He and his totally go for it, do anything I ask them to parents were amazing. I’m sure they got sick of my shrieking and animal noises and so on to get the little one to smile, but they put up with me with flying colors and were totally chill. Mom S is a friend from back at the good ol’ days of teaching…(good ol’ days…so not really “old” per say, but alas, those school days are behind me for now…) and we both had babies the same summer and were on maternity leave at the same time for a little while. And apparently started a trend for four more women to have babies that year! :-) She also made me dirt cake for my birthday at work and that act alone will forever seal our friendship I’m pretty sure. She put gummy worms in there and everything…mmm…dirt cake…anyway, they were just so chill and friendly and I just LOVED getting grins out of this little guy. Even if I had to shriek and make animal noises to get it. It was worth it.

Thanks for a totally fun afternoon!

He was totally going for it on those drums. Definitely going to be a rockstar when he grows up- Mom and Pops, make sure you lock the doors when he’s a teenager, all girls go for the drummers. :-)

Beautiful Bride

This girl is the definition of FUN. The cutest little bride you will ever meet.

On Sunday while eating a brownie next to her for the “mother’s day gift” from the men at church, she puts on some chapstick. Actually, rather lathers it on. “I asked {Groom} to kiss me earlier,” she announces, “and he said no because I had too much chapstick on. He said I would taste like wax!” Giggles through ice cream and brownies around the table. “So I said, ‘FINE! Don’t kiss me then,’” she continues, and then mimics lathering on another layer of chapstick. She totally cracks me up- such a fun-loving, easy going, and gorgeous girl. :-)

Also, on a side note, my daughter pretty much wants to be her when she grows up. She helps with her primary class at church and Chloe always manages to find her way into her lap during sharing time every Sunday. When I showed her a couple of pictures of her in her wedding dress, Chloe gasped loudly and exclaimed, “MOM! {Bride} is wearing a PRINCESS DRESS!!! She’s getting MARRIED!!!” Bridals were way fun, wedding will be even funner! :-)

Baby L

Love this Momma, her little baby girl is just PRECIOUS! Totally let me do whatever the whole shoot and barely even squawked the entire time. With much fenageling and a lot of patience, Momma and baby let me do the hanging baby shots- first attempt and after a couple of tries we got it to work. She totally konked out through the whole thing, it was perfect. :-)

Little Boy E

This is the 13 month old son of a dear friend of mine. She came over and we had some fun last week shooting her darling youngest (well, sorta youngest, there is another on the way!). I think I freaked him out when they first came in, but he warmed up to me after a little bit. Or at least warmed up at me enough to gaze those stunning blue eyes right into my lens without tears, and then giggle at Mommy while she sang funny songs and tickled him. Love this boy, love his brother, love his Mommy, love his family!

M Fam and newbie

These guys are some old friends from way back in the student ward…and beyond, actually, I’ve known Momma since college! It’s crazy to look back at college as a “way-back-when” stage of life, but that’s what it is these days. Time sure does fly.

LOVE their little girls! This baby is brand spanking new and cute as a button. It made me baby hungry…except for the fact that I already have one. But when I got my own baby back she looked GINORMOUS! I still think of Odell as a newborn, but she’s almost five months now, that’s sort of out of newborn range I guess *sniffle*.

B Family

The rain the night before threatened to stop this shoot from happening, but we went for it anyway, just chose a new location. And, as fortune and fate would have it, hit the jackpot- who knew downtown Greeley could be so charming? There, I just used the words “Greeley” and “charming” in the same sentence. I had a great time shooting these guys, I barely had to do anything, they just pretty much look good on their own. And I have serious hair envy of “Momma B”. Serious. Beautiful family, thanks for thinkin’ of me!!
